Why Would Someone Accept a Plea Deal Instead of Going to Trial?

Sometimes a plea deal is the right option for people when the risk of trial um or the risk of a greater sentence is something that you’re very concerned about. One of the benefits to taking a plea deal is you um are dealing with the devil. You know, you know pretty much the outcome and what your sentence would look like.

And anytime you go to trial, um, there are inherent risks to that because you’re putting your case in the hands of of a jury, but it’s very crucial that you have a defense attorney whose automatic go-to is not just to plea you out and it’s going to take a close look at your case to help you decide if this is the right case for you to take to trial or um, the kind of case that you might want to take a plea on to mitigate the risk in your case.
